PC with GNU / Linux connected to the internet (cable or wifi or smartphone hotspot), we use the Mixxx software to run and mix a playlist of audio and music tracks, connected to the PC via Usb we have an external microphone (or a sound card with multiple microphones). Through Mixxx you can adjust the volumes, superimpose audio tracks, enable the microphones, Mixxx collects the audio signal from the microphone / i and finally sends the mixed audio to an Icecast2 server, Icecast2 receives the audio and takes care of the broadcast (make it available to tant *), providing a link, on port 8000, with the chosen name (mount-point) and the final ending of the chosen audio format (Mp3).

During transmission, we add other audio files to the playlist (example) from Telegram, if Telegram-desktop runs on the same PC, just save the audio file and add it to the playlist, otherwise they can be moved from one PC to another using a pen Usb.
The mixed audio signal (transmission) is also recorded by the PC locally in Mp3 format (for archive or podcast).

Better to use Mp3 or Ogg?
Today it is a freer format than Mp3, but not all smartphones are able to listen to a stream in Ogg format by default.
Why does the link contain: 8000?
Because the stream takes place on port number 8000, as the default web port (the 80) is already in use by the website. The choice of using 8000 or 72945 is free (just don’t use a door already occupied.) 8000 is easier to remember.
Am I obliged to use Mixxx?

Can I do everything without using a server?
